    The Toronto Christmas market in the Distillery District is officially coming back for 2022.

    The Distillery Winter Village is set to run from November 17 through December 31 this year.

    The quintessential winter holiday event rebranded from The Toronto Christmas Market to The Distillery Winter Village last year

    The Toronto Christmas Market at the historic Distillery District is the largest and most popular in Toronto. Fodor’s Travel once named it one of the best Christmas markets in the world. The market looks very cozy and amazing with hand-crafted ornaments, carolers, and a nostalgic carousel. While kids rush to meet Santa, adults can snack on schnitzels and other delicious foods.

    The Christmas market features one of the largest Christmas trees in Toronto as well as, stunning illumination, seasonal decor, and lots of entertainment. There are more than 350 stage performances, vendors selling locally handcrafted goods, and a beer garden.

    The 2022 Distillery Winter Village Event Hours:

    Dates and hours for vendor & food cabins and entertainment:

    The Distillery Historic District shops, restaurants and cafés, along with the Distillery Winter Village displays and music, are open seven days a week, starting at 10:00 am daily.

    The Distillery Winter Village outdoor shopping cabins and food vendors will be open starting at noon, Tuesdays to Sundays. They will be closed on Mondays.

    Event Hours from November 18 – December 30:

    • Mondays, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm (Distillery restaurants, cafes and retailers open only. Outdoor shopping cabins and food vendors closed)
    • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm
    • Fridays and Saturdays: 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
    • Sundays: 10:00am – 9:00 pm

    Special holiday hours:

    • December 20: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm
    • December 24: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (Distillery restaurants, cafes and retailers open only. Outdoor shopping cabins and food vendors closed)
    • December 25: Closed
    • December 26: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm (Distillery restaurants, cafes and retailers open only. Outdoor shopping cabins and food vendors closed)
    • December 27-31: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm

    The Distillery Historic District shops, restaurants and cafés, are open seven days a week, starting at 10:00 am daily. The Distillery Winter Village outdoor shopping and food cabins are open Tuesdays to Sundays from noon to close, at which time proof of full vaccination and government issued ID is required to gain entry.

    The Distillery Winter Village Parking

    Parking is very limited. The best way to get to The Distillery Winter Village is to take public transit, rideshare or use Bike Share Toronto.

     

    Paid public parking is available across the site. Please see below for a full list of lots:

    • Above ground parking along Distillery Lane (Green P #230) – accessible from Parliament Street
    • Underground parking at 70 Distillery Lane, P1 Level (Green P #267) – accessible from Cherry Street
    • Underground parking at 33 Mill Street, P1 Level (Precise Parklink) – accessible from Mill Street

    The following parking lots offer nearby off-site parking:

    • Underground parking at 100 Cooperage Street (Green P #283)
    • Covered surface lot at at 40 Rolling Mills Road (Green P #285)
    • Underground parking lot at 83 Tannery Road (Green P #284)

    In all cases, you can pay for parking through either the Green P or Flowbird app, or at the closest parking meter.

     

    The Distillery Winter Village  Tickets 

    Tickets are required on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays after 4:00 pm, and between December 20-23 after 4:00 pm and December 27-30 after 4:00 pm. Tickets are $8 each (age 6 years and up). Kids 5 and under, including babies, require a ticket — but admission is FREE of charge. This is to help manage capacity during peak hours.

The Distillery Historic District is a designated national historic site, and was formerly the Gooderham & Worts Distillery, originally founded in 1832.

    The Distillery District is a dog friendly community and we encourage you to bring your furry friends to stroll around the cobblestone streets. If you bring a pet, please be sure to pick up after them and always keep them on a leash.

    Please note that animals are not permitted inside any food/beverage establishments at The Distillery District, with the exception of service animals with appropriate documentation. Some stores and galleries on-site welcome dogs, but we recommend to check with them directly to be sure.
